should we hire another sale person this quarter...
tim shared this conversation with you on April 7, 2026.
Message from tim:
Morning Steve Mentioned this lap I ran with ChieflyAI yesterday. Once we got going it didnt miss a beat. Clearly I could take the conversation down any number of routes but what is helpful is being able to bring it back to actuals (it can leap to hypothetics for instance on projecting valuations based on notional ARR projections rather than truly realistic ones). Its ultimate recommendation here is that we should acquire for optimal EV at sale in 2028 / 2029 which is the right answer. TV

Find an answer that matters? Send it to your accountant. They see the whole conversation in their email — no login, no screenshot, just the answer with your note at the top.
Point the chat at what matters. Then just talk.
Every other AI tool forgets what you’re looking at. Chiefly doesn’t.
£142K cash · £10.1K/wk burn
Toggle focus on the widget you care about. The chat already knows what you’re looking at.
You’re on your Runway widget. You ask: “Can we afford the £14K hire?” The answer uses your cash position, burn rate, and AR — without you explaining any of it.
Available on widgets that support focus. One at a time.
Same business, five different lenses.
Running out of cash? Ask Finance. Team stretched? Ask Operations. Pipeline stalling? Ask Sales. Each advisor sees your data through a different lens.
“Will we run out of cash before Q4?”
Pulls from: P&L, bank feeds, AR aging, invoices
“Which deals should I chase this week?”
Pulls from: Pipeline, deal velocity, win rates, follow-ups
“Is anyone on the team overloaded right now?”
Pulls from: Capacity, utilisation, team health, delivery timelines
“Is the LinkedIn campaign worth continuing?”
Pulls from: Channels, conversion rates, campaign ROI, attribution
“What should I focus on today?”
Pulls from: Cross-team blockers, priorities, calendar, action items
Widgets surface analysis from your connected tools — not raw data. Drag, resize, organise.
Each widget explains what the number means — not just the number.
See something off? Toggle focus. Ask why.
Advice that turns into action.
Your advisors don’t just tell you what’s wrong — they tell you what to do next and make sure it happens.
The loop: analysis surfaces a problem → the advisor generates a priority → you assign it to a team member → it gets done.
Assign tasks to anyone on your Chiefly team. They see the priority, the context, and the reasoning behind it — not just a to-do with no explanation.
Team members need a Chiefly seat to receive assignments.
Your framework. Not generic advice.
Pick the methodology your business runs on. Every answer respects it.
Most AI advice is generic — the same answer for every business, every stage, every operating philosophy. Chiefly isn’t. Select a framework, and every answer reasons through it.
“We keep hitting the same bottleneck in delivery — what do I do?”
“This is the pattern Gerber warns about — you’re working IN the business, not ON it. Document the process that produces the bottleneck. Make it repeatable without you in the room. The goal is a system, not a heroic fix.”
Michael Gerber, The E-Myth Revisited
